My Dad

Dear Friends,

Today, we found out that my dad has cancer. Not sure yet what the course of action will be. Mom said they think it is in the small bowel. Is that the small intestine? I just don’t know.

God, please help us. Please heal my daddy.

Amen

    Oh, my precious, precious daughter.
    I hear your cries.
I hold your tears as they form a tiny well in the palm of My large hand.
And as I look down on that small pool of love, shed for your papa, I remember how I felt when My Son was on the cross.
    I cry with you, daughter.
    I cry with you.
    Your Heavenly Papa

Oh, Renae, my heart is breaking for you.

    Dear Renae,
So sad about the bad news of your Daddy.
I will continue to pray for him and for you.
There’s no limit to what the Lord can heal.
    I know that by experience.
My only sibling, my brother was diagnosed with cancer pancreas five years ago. He had to undergo a large op, but it all went for the best, and he was back to work in less then 6 months.
We did pray a lot, and now we praise even more.
It’s so tough, but we are allowed to put all our burdens upon Christ.
He has challenged us to do so. He cares and he sees.
    Yours Felisol

I remember that early morning phone call from my mother several years ago telling me that my dad had just been told by the doctorr that he had kidney cancer. I hung up the phone and first screamed at the top of my lungs. Then, I cried out to God.
Our family and friends immediately began praying for dad. After another visit to the doctor, we were told that he thought the cancer was contained to the one kidney, but couldn’t be 100% sure until sugery. All of us kids and all the grandkids were there for dad’s surgery, praying on his behalf. The kidney was removed and today I am so thankful to the Lord that he is 100% cancer free.

If there is one thing you and your family need to know, it’s this

Renae, I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. I’ve added him to my prayer list, and will get word to all of the prayer warriors I know, so they can add him to their lists. What is his name?
