I was about eight years old the first time I heard this. I had been with my friend to something at the local Methodist church and they had sung it there. I remember thinking it was the best thing I’d ever heard!
I don’t recall ever really listening to the words until I heard this group doing it. It is truly an amazing song – guess that’s why it has stood the test of time!
